They had me waiting for a 7:30am appt until 10am, then the technician arrived and clearly did not want to do the work. He immediately said he needed some people to help him and that he could not do it himself. I said I was told they were doing the installation this morning and I had taken off the morning from work. He said don't worry, they will come today and finish it by COB. So I told him that was fine, I let my job know I would take off the whole day. Once I took him to the attic, he kept making excuses for why the installation would be difficult, changing around his story on how the installation needed to be done, and tripping over his statements. He told me his boss would have to come and figure out how to do the installation before he did anything, and that his boss would come at noon or one o'clock. But I was left waiting and waiting, no one ever showed. When I called the company around noon and then at 1:30, they said someone was coming and still no one came. I called again later in the evening, got transferred three times, and the person I spoke to said they would be there tomorrow and not today. When I asked why no one had called me to let me know, the man on the phone had the audacity to tell me that the technician from the morning told me it would be tomorrow, which the technician had not, and the man continued by raising his voice at me. I said I took off the day from work, which he clearly did not care about, and if they had let me know no one was coming I could have gone back to work. When I said I could not take off tomorrow, the man actually yelled at me on the phone that I should have known it was for tomorrow, and even though I insisted no one told me tomorrow, he basically called me a liar and then also told me they could not install an attic fan due to the fact I had a finished attic. I asked why someone would bother to come the next day if it could not be done and if that was supposedly the issue? The man was taken aback and then just blamed it on me. There was no apology, no nothing. I of course told them to forget about coming and I would take my business elsewhere. I have never dealt with an electric company as unprofessional as Kolb. I would NOT/NOT use this place for anything. There are so many other companies with professional staff in the reston/ashburn/northern virginia area. Do not waste your money and time with this place. I ended up using another company that was professional and able to get the job done.
Estimate supposed to happen between 10-12, no one shows up, no one calls. When I call at Noon they say they're still an hour away. Don't use them.
