The staff at Gayton Animal Hospital is AMAZING! They are so thoughtful and smart. I have been to many different vet clinics over the years and found this office to be the most honest and caring. I have a relative who previously worked in this office who was also thoroughly impressed with the care that the staff shows to their clients (human and otherwise). She told me that all of the staff genuinely loves animals and treat the animals as if they were their own both in front of their clients as well as when the doors are closed.

Offers good animal care at a very expensive price. Treatment costs are quoted on the high end and full payment is due at time of service - no exceptions. Late arrivals are required to reschedule. Attending vet never offered holistic veterinary medicine as an alternative for long term, chronic illness. Did not adequately communicate what to expect prior to the euthanasia process, in accordance to AVMA guidelines.

I found everyone at GAH to be friendly towards me, and affectionate towards my pet. The receptionist, tech, and vet were all very professional and warm. I felt good having them care for my precious little cat. They followed up with lab results in a timely manner with a personal call from the vet. It was clear that they understood how much my pet means to me. I love this place.

I have been taking my pets to GAH for over 20 years. I have read some complaints but the reality is when it comes to medicine not everyone will be happy with the outcome. Whether it is a bill, a miscommunication or a scheduling issue. But the bottom line is that these are a dedicated group of vets that never do anything intentionally that would compromise the health of an animal. It is pathetic that the medical field gets to have anonymous reviews. Wonder what the review would be of the clients if the table was turned?

Was taking my dog to ashland vet hospital and they ran up the bill with unnecessary tests. No one was on the same page. I grew tired of it and brought my dog to gayton. My mom has been taking our/her pets there since I was young and we moved here in 1989. The tech was very very knowledgeable and nice ( Burke) and the Vet finally confirmed what I suspected my dog had. THey ran a few different tests that were going to cost me $95 at ashland, and they only charged a $42 exam fee at gayton. The experience was soo much better! Worth the drive from Ashland!
