All this place cares about is money. I've dealt with four different vets in three visits, two of which were for the same issue. They do not communicate with each other, they each tell you one thing, so that the next can lecture you for doing what the previous vet instructed you to do. Everything is about money. They tell you to purchase their "bundle" of tests which include things you don't need and if you can't afford the bundle they will charge you 2/3 the price of the bundle for 1/4 of the tests of the bundle. How is that even remotely fair? If I wanted verizon sale pitches, I would've taken my dog there. One vet gave me a price for follow up blood work, once I got there it was $50 more with the explanation that the previous vet made a mistake. They do everything they can to make you feel like you are a horrible person if you don't get everything done they suggest, whether you actually need it or not. They are nothing but smiling vultures circling your wallet. Don't go there, find a vet that cares about your pet, not your wallet.

My cat was good to go as soon as we got back home. She was well taken care of. The vet treated her well.

My dog is 9 years old and has severe anxiety in new places and with new people. I have been to 3 vets in the past couple of years and decided to try Pets First. I am so glad I did. Dr. Pikul came into the room and sat on the floor until Max approached her. She spent at least 10 minutes on the floor earning his trust. I could not believe my eyes! He was wagging his tail and sat almost on her legs. He loved her! After a couple of visits Dr Pikul removed a mass that had been on his side for almost a year. The employees greet me by name when I walk in there. They are like rays of sunshine. I wish I would have found Dr Pikul years ago. Max actually is excited now when Dr. Pikul comes into the room. I love Pets First and will never go anywhere else. I have finally found a clinic that I love and most importantly, Max loves. Thank you Dr Pikul and your AWESOME employees!!!! S.C. Richmond, VA

My dog had a simple ear infection. They charged me $270 to treat it. Then, proceeded to upsell me on dog pain killers, several medications (none of which worked), and every vaccine known to man (including Rattle Snake vaccine). They also wanted me to bring her back 2 weeks later for another $270 check up. To add insult to injury, she got fleas while there. AVOID THIS SCAM SHACK!

Horrible place! They killed my dog and blaimed it on "heart failure or just old age" A couple of years ago I took my older dog for a routine checkup, and they informed me that he had two abcessed teeth that needed to come out, in addition to a routine dental cleaning. The charges were high, but they convinced me that my dog was in pain and I had to do this. They assured me this is routine, and everything would be just fine. The Dog was happy as can be, running and jumping and eating as if nothing was wrong. Later that night I got a call that he was ready to be picked up and he didn't need any overnight observation. To my absolute horror, when I got there they informed me that they had pulled almost all his teeth because "they were in bad shape"- without even trying to contact me and ask if I was OK with it. In addition, I had to order "dog formula" from Science Diet, through their office of course - because my dog wouldn't be able to eat any more regular food. And of course I needed massive amounts of antibiotics, because it had been such an invasive procedure. When looking at the bill I realized that the had charged me for a complete cleaning (the dog had 1 tooth left!!!) and for each individual extraction, and when I started to ask questions they told me they had cleaned the teeth before pulling them!!! I just took my dog and went home. Five hours later my dog died in terrible pain! When I went back to ask for an explanation, return the unopened cases of dog food and antibiotics, they wouldn't take them back! I had to fight with them to even get a small fraction of my money back. And to add insult to injury, two months later they sent me a reminder that my dog was due for a dental cleaning!!!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS THERE! They are all about the money, and do not care about animals!
