I have always had a wonderful experience at Valley Animal Hospital but this Christmas they have been especially appreciated by our family. A family friend left us a Christmas gift that included dark chocolate (which we did not realize). Our 12 pound dog ate an entire 3.5 oz bar of dark chocolate!! This amount could have been fatal for him. Thanks to the quick and aggressive care given by our vets at Valley Animal he made a full recovery. The entire staff was so caring and willing to check on Happy for us throughout the day to keep us updated on his progress. He ended up needing additional monitoring with IV from the emergency vet overnight. Our vet sent his fluids,ect. with us which really helped keep the cost at the EVS down. We were so blessed to receive such good care and have a happy ending to this scary experience.

Valley Animal Hospital has the most helpful and courteous staff and excellent, attentive doctors. Sometimes it's not just about the care of your pet, it's also about caring for and listening to the pet parent. I live in the Cave Spring area and up until recently have been using a veterinary hospital that is only ten minutes from my home. We moved here last year from out of state and it was a "convenient" location as my 90+ pound dog is a handful and is not fond of car rides. As I became increasingly dissatisfied with the old location, I decided to make the switch to Valley Animal Hospital, which is a twenty-minute ride from my house. I had already been taking my cat there since last year when we hadn't identified a veterinary care provider yet and my cat suddenly became ill. I made several calls to vets in the area and Valley Animal Hospital was the only one who had me bring my cat in before the end of the day. We were treated with great care that day. I would highly recommend Valley Animal Hospital to any pet parent. They will treat your pet well and they will treat you well, too!

Since my first visit with them over 10 years ago with my last dog, till my last emergency visit with them a week ago, I still feel they are the best place to go when my animals need to be seen by a doctor. They actually encourage you to ask questions, I love that. I have been to several different doctors in the office and there isn't one I wouldn't be comfortable taking our dog to.

The veterinarians and other staff are very personable and appear to harbor a genuine love for animals. I would definitely entrust my pet's health to them. If you have an emergency, they can fit you in between appointments that same day. They are fast...which barely leaves time to eat all the cookies, popcorn and coffee they leave out!

I have been with Valley Animal Hospital for over 20 years and trust every person there completely. Even though Dr. Poage has been the primary vet for my family's animals all of these years, we have seen the other doctors as well and were just as pleased. You can see and feel that they all have put their hearts into their patients no matter how big or small. The compassion they have shown when I have had to say goodbye to pets over the years is so comforting. I wouldn't even consider going anywhere else.
