I've been going here for 4.5 years now with my dogs and they are absolutely wonderful! I have called Dr.'s Oberman and Hong for the smallest things and they have answered any and all questions I've had no matter the time of day and took the time to explain in detail so that I understood. The rest of the staff have taken care of my guys as if they were family.

We brought our young bulldog, Linda, to Springfield Animal Hospital for cherry eye surgery (common problem with this breed) and to get spayed. 1. Cherry eye surgery was supposedly performed on the wrong eye. My fiance and I were very patient with this mistake (accidents happen), and even though this unnecessary surgery was at the expense of our pet's comfort, we brought her back again so Dr. Hong could perform surgery on the correct eye. 2. After the CORRECT surgery was performed, we noticed how different the healing process looked this second time around. The first time (when the wrong eye was operated on), there was zero evidence that a surgery even occurred. This time, we visibly saw Linda's healing process, and it made us wonder... was there even surgery performed the first time around? 3. Months went by and Linda's eye refused to heal. We brought her back time and time again, hearing different stories: "Her eye is infected, here, buy this medication. She's having an allergic reaction to the stitches, here, buy this medication. Her eye might stay like this for up to 9 months, here, buy this medication." When we asked the male vet if we could get some reading material about the stitches Linda is allergic to, he couldn't even give us the NAME of the product. 4. My fiance and I finally make a trip up to MI (where we're from originally), and take her to a trusted family vet. She told us the following: a.) NO surgery was performed on the "wrong" eye. b.) Linda wasn't having an allergic reaction to stitches. What we were seeing was scar tissue forming because the surgery was performed amateurly. Overall, we could not be more disappointed and disheartened by this entire experience. During our final visit, we were essentially ushered out with the words, "Sorry, there's nothing we can do for you." We spent a thousand dollars for our dog to look exactly the same: with a skin growth protruding from her eye. I will never bring a pet here again and will strongly advise anyone I know to frequent this clinic.

I've been in the area for 2 years, and have never found a place that matched the quality of service, and level of care of our vet back in Texas. I've been to a couple of other vets in the area, but we were never really satisfied with the care our dog received. And then when we did like the doctors, the prices were just WAY too high. So when I found this place, I was shocked at how wonderful I found it. The moment we walked in, the two women at the front desk were attentive, and very pleasant to talk with. We went right back to a room, and my wait time was under 30 minutes (the last one, even with an appointment, made us wait an hour!). Every person who came into the room greeted my dog, patted him on the head, and talked to him like he was their own, and our vet, Doctor Nonna, was wonderful. She walked me through everything, and was so great with my dog, you could really tell she loved animals. She not only explained everything to me clearly, she also made sure I wasn't going to have to pay for any unnecessary meds, treatments, or shots. Overall, my whole experience was amazing. They also give military discounts for active duty, which was very helpful! I highly recommend going to this office over others. If you're looking for a reasonably priced vet, with GREAT service, this is the place to go!

These guys are wonderful. They always take the best care of my dogs and their prices seem very reasonable. My dogs are family to me and SAH always seems to be on top of their care. They really spend time explaining things to me, why something is necessary and what it will cost. I just started getting dental cleanings for my pets and although I was nervous about it at first, they really took care of my dogs. I would recommend these guys to anyone.

I came here for the first time after moving away from a great vet I had when I was in college, who had diagnosed my fluffy baby with bladder stones, but never followed up. Little did I know, until I saw Dr. Mitchell at Springfield, that my pup needed to be kept on a special diet and would need regular urine tests. She prescribed special food to help dissolve the stones and keep crystals from forming and she hasn't had any blood in her pee since then. I've also seen Dr. Overman a few times and really like his bedside manner. My dog loves him too. I feel like the doctors take a lot of time to explain things to me in words that I understand, give me a plan for what to do until the next visit, and one of the nice girls up front always gives me a call to follow-up the next day. They also allow me to leave the room when they have to get blood from my dog so I don't faint, and give her cookies throughout the appointment. My baby gets a lot of attention whenever we go in, which she loves. Becky has groomed my pup a few times too and did a great job. My baby came back so cute and smelled so good!
