I rescued a dog who was badly abused, she is fearful of large dogs and new people. Which can be difficult to avoid when going to the vets This clinic does AMAZING work with her and goes to great extents to provide care for her without stressing her out. As for the comment before me, you should know that heart worm medication can be very harmful while treatment. Some medications can cause a blockage of blood vessels caused by dead worms getting carried along in the dog’s bloodstream. With most treatments of serious conditions there are always some side effects sometimes they can be life threatening. And if you have a dog of 50 pounds you would get much better results of a medication that is more than you rather than not enough. I would recommend this office to any and everyone. The vet here always takes her time with my little rescue and treats her with the most care handling her as little as possible.
I am very disappointed in this clinic. A first visit here for us after having moved here. I brought my dog in to renew a prescription for heart worm medicine. On the phone she told me the visit would be 35.00. When I got there she proceeded to do tests she didn't even ask me about first and it ended up costing 99.00. A big leap from 35 to 99. When I went to fill the prescription on line they needed to call her first. My dog is usually around 52 pounds but she insists I get the 50 to 100 lb medication. This is much more expensive and hardly necessary for TWO pounds. Now my dog is with out the medication and out the 99 dollars. Don't waste your money here. Find somewhere else to go.
I was so impressed with this new clinic (a much needed resource in the rural Northeast Kingdom of Vermont) that I volunteered on the rabies clinic day by recording appointments and shots. Kudos to the owner for running a valuable business.
Caring, loving, and friendly practice for both animal and owner!
