I contacted Dr Sullivan in advance of going down to the clinic because I currently live in Canada. He was very helpful from the first contact until the day of Gunner's tooth extraction where he spent the time to describe the procedure and answer all our questions. Our dog is a rescue and you can see that he truly cares for his patients and, like my wife and I, he could not understand why someone would want to put down the good natured dog we have now adopted. Gunner's recovery has been very quick following the procedure and he's back to his energetic self along with his necessary 1 hour walks every day.

I brought my rat, Mary Jane in a few months ago to have a tumor removed. Ed was very considerate and walked me through the process and different options to help me understand what would be best for her. She pulled through the surgery with flying colors. Unfortunately, like with a lot of rats, she developed another tumor. I knew it was hopeless to have it removed. The receptionist was very nice and said to call back whenever I felt it was time to put her down. I brought Mary Jane in yesterday to euthanize her. Everyone was incredibly sympathetic and supportive. I would recommend Bellingham Veterinary to anyone.

Dr Sullivan is the 5th vet in the Bellingham area I've taken my cat to and he is the only one I would highly recommend. He is a very proficient and caring vet with great analytical skills. He used a common sense approach to treating my cat and explained options patiently while offering alternatives to be considered. I even found that he was very considerate in not wanting to upset my cat needlessly. Did I mention that I HIGHLY recommend him...?

I rescued a year old kitty from NOAH this past Wednesday and brought him into Bellingham Veterinary for a health exam. I have used this clinic in the past and did not hesitate to call on them again for our new family addition. I have always found them to be caring and gentle to our animals and they showed their compassion again today! I love that the vet gets right down on the floor with the pet and he is very thorough in explaining his answers to your questions. Michelle had to give a shot to "Mac" and she didn't rush right in and inject - she took some time petting and fed him a treat and then did the deed! The front desk experience was just as pleasant and I would highly recommend this clinic for anyone looking to change or start with a veterinary clinic. 10 out of 10 stars in my book!

I took my dog in for a suspected ear infection..and the vet took one look at him and said that he was sure it was a grass seed, that he would have to be sedated to get out (and that was over 100 just for sedation) I asked why he wouldn't even look in his ears first?? and he actually looked surprised that I even asked (he literally didn't even touch him first, he stood 3 feet away) I decided to take home the outrageously over priced medicine for a yeast infection and he was fine in 3 days, no grass seed no nothing...he didn't even need it for the whole course they suggested it for. If I hadn't gotten his rabies shot, that visit would have been 90 dollars (which the rude surly receptionist actually did charge me for anyway, until I called her on it. Seems like a racket and also the doctor doesn't seem to really even like animals :(
