On Tuesday, I made the decision to help my cat, Pandora, cross to the Rainbow Bridge. She was twenty-years old, weak and tired but still full of love and head bonks; and her health had taken a severe turn for the worse over night. The staff at Fountain Vet fit me into Dr. Pete's schedule, within two hours from my call, without a complaint. When I arrived, in tears and quite distracted, they were so compassionate. Dr. Pete has always been so kind to my fur baby when I brought her in for care and this time the love and care for animals was even more obvious. He didn't force me to make the decision to help Pandora transition. He let me come to it myself after telling me he could help her, but it wouldn't be a permanent fix. She would be ill again, and soon. He told her that she had done a good job and stroked her head, before the injections. Pretty soon, he realized that I had never had to do this before, and he stood with me for quite awhile - even after she had passed - as I cried and said goodbye to my little boo. Nothing cold or brusque about the process. As I left, the staff were quiet and kind - the office dog even said goodbye, what a sweetie. They are letting me come back to pay for all the services, when I pick up Pandora's ashes. I thank the staff at Fountain Vet for making a very difficult life task easier. You are all angels, in my opinion.

A friend recommended Fountain Vet nearly 20 years ago and I would not trade them for the world. When I first went there, Dr. Todd's father was still practicing and Dr. Todd was working with him. At that time I only had cats. I was impressed by the warm and personal attention given to my cats. When I got my dog, Joey, I continued to be impressed by Dr. Todd's understanding of animal behavior. Joey loves going to visit his doctor. Usually the visit begins with Dr. Todd getting on the floor and playing and wrestling with him. Joey is now 12 years old and has received exemplary care all his life. People remark that he still acts like a puppy. That's because he is still healthy and happy and is a direct reflection of the excellent health care he has had since the day I adopted him. During the last 20 years, more staff has been hired and they are all well above average. Dr. Pete is nearly as awesome as Dr. Todd. I would never, ever consider changing vets as long as I live in Bellingham. They are like family.

I am so very lucky to have them take care of our dogs. Today I had to put one of our beloved dogs down. Dr Pete was so compassionate and understanding through this hard time. He and all the team there really tried everything possible to help my dog. Today was hard but Dr Pete made it easier for us to feel like we did the right thing. The staff and Doctor's are so wonderful with animals. I still have one dog left and am lucky to have him be one of their patients.

A group of dedicated staff kept my dog "Mingus" alive and well for over 15 years. They handled his cremation compassionately. Mingus' remains are now in Bellingham Bay off of Boulevard Park. I highly recommend Fountain Veterinary

I have never been to a more loving and caring vet in my entire life. Dr. Todd and the staff fought for 4 weeks to keep my 4 year old golden retriever from dying of an auto immune disease. When my pup had a heart attack and passed away, Dr. Todd wrapped his arms around me and apologized profusely (even though he gave it his all). I believe that the staff at Fountain Vet have immense love and care for the animals that they work with. I will continue to go to Fountain Vet as long as I am in Bellingham. Truly, they are the best business in this city.
