Just got back from an emergency visit...not only did the vet meet us at the door, but she didn't charge us for a previous test that she'd sent to a specialist when she wasn't sure about her white blood cell count (we own a rare species of duck and there isn't a lot of medical documentation on normal parameters on them). She made us feel at ease, and now we're back home with a much calmer duck who's now happily sleeping on my bed. If you own a bird, this is the place to go. Bar none.

After taking my cockatiel there five times, through out three years. I've either been pleased only by one of the vets there, and displeased by the rest of them. This last time was the final straw and I'm looking for a new vet. Not only was their price for just a normal check up insane,( I've gotten him a full check up and x-rays + meds for 360$), BUT they kept him in back for the full two hours. For just a gram scan. There's no reason it should have taken that long, and no reason he shouldn't have been brought back into the room to wait with me. There is no way I am going back to this place. I'm going to a new avian vet I have found. Here's hopping that they are better then this place.

I took my daughter's hamster to them, saw Dr. Music and we were given 2 price quotes. The first was for the 'ideal' treatment which included X-rays, blood work and more and was 'only' $580, for a hamster. NOT!!! Second was a quote for about $120 - No way! After much debate with her and her treating me as if I were 12 she managed to find the $10 anti-biotics which I agreed to instead of the $30. On top of spending for the pleasure of letting them look at a pet who is 2 years in to a 2 - 3 year life span. Through much care and force feeding some water through the syringe that came with the medicine, she is doing much better. However, I will not be taking anymore pets to this clinic.

Do not take your chicken here with an injury. Do your own research on treatment, as this establishment does not know how to treat these animals and will only provide you with expensive unnecessary treatment options and try to guilt trip you if you cannot justify spending thousand of dollars on a chicken. The only redeeming quality is that their new vet clearly loves animals and is a very nice person.

i don't know what's up with all the bad reviews, my experience with the center has been amazing. i have an iguana who is very overdue to lay eggs. my local vet told me she just needed more time and to wait and bring her back if she gets lethargic, which is not good advice for a sick reptile. i took her to the center instead for an initial exam (which is 48$, not $140 as someone else said) and Dr. Music suggested we do bloodwork and x-rays, (both costing less than they would have at my previous vet) and that surgery would likely be needed, which i expected. Dr. Music was extremely thorough with the information she gave me and i everyone i saw there seemed to completely love what they do. i am completely satisfied with my experience and i am confident that my iggy will be in good hands when Dr. Maas performs the surgery.
