Our normal vet is for our livestock, so finding a veterinarian for our lovebird under emergent circumstances was stressful at best. A friend recommended All Creatures. They began treatment even while my husband was filling out the required paperwork. Although our beloved bird did not survive, the care received was thorough, efficient and compassionate. At the end of the day, they wrapped her in a small cloth bag (for burial), and gave us a plaster impression of her feet with a couple feathers tucked around. My husband was so impressed with the care that he plans on taking our other small animals there as well. Yes, may seem a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. If you want inexpensive, then do your own shots. For all other care, All Creatures has our vote!
I would like to thank all the staff and particularly the staff that was on duty this past Sunday at All Creatures Animal Hospital. My daughter had to bring in her beloved companion of 6 years to say her final goodbyes. We knew Sadie was ill but did not expect it to happen so suddenly. The kindness, compassion and tenderness that the staff showed my daughter was greatly appreciated and helped significantly in her time of grief. It was even a tender touch that they placed our cherished friend in a quilted coverlet with matching blue silk ribbon for us to take her home. We will not soon forget their kindness and will always recommend their support to anyone that might be going through the same thing.
We've been taking our guinea pigs there for three years now, and have always received excellent care and attention. Drs Little and Choi have always been very helpful. (If you have a piggie, ask for Dr Choi, she specializes in them.) The only complaint I have is they can be a bit slow, especially in the evening. But that's understandable as they are practically the only 24 hour emergency vet in the county.
Very disappointed!! I took my puppy here, when I first got her for shots and exam, I was happy with the Dr. very loving and caring. Seven months later, I had to bring her in for a ear infection. A new Dr. not anything like the first Dr. I was given the wrong, written directions and treated like a child. I didn't realize this until the follow up visit, 2 weeks later. I was not happy. I was charged an outrageous price of $200.00. Then I found out she needed 4 baby canine teeth extracted. I asked for a quote to have her spayed and have her teeth done. I got a written quote with a range between $300 and $700 and something. I called back and said I just wanted to have her teeth done and got a quote of $500. and something? Then I received a written quote in the mail in the amount of $300 to $900.00 and something. Are you kidding me?? 3 different price quotes that went higher each time and with a huge price range. I decided to call around and I got a hold of a local place that has been there forever and they gave me a quote over the phone of $17.00 per tooth plus $100 for the anesthetic. I asked if there were any other charges and they said no. I was thinking, how can this be? I was very concerned about the care my baby was about to receive. She had her teeth pulled and the girl cut her nails and they examined her and found out she has a heart murmur. Something I was not told? I paid $168.00 total. Just what I was quoted. She was held and loved and cared for. I am so glad I shopped around. We all love are precious animals like they are our children and want the best for them. Just that most of us can't afford to go bankrupt in the process to pay for these fancy shmancy animal hospitals.
All Creatures has been my salvation for the 3 years I've lived in Kitsap County. But in those 3 years, my net worth, and my income, have been slashed about 70%, and the cost of veterinary care at All Creatures has gone up astronomically. It seems I can no longer afford to have pets. Sucks, as I know I'm not the only one. I have always considered All Creatures a Designer Vet, never cheap, but excellent care. All Creatures has undergone a drastic remodeling and this is no doubt very expensive. Today I went in and was quoted $550 for some diagnostic procedures on a 10-year-old goat. My vet in California would have just stuck his hand in her and felt around for tumors. I can no longer afford All Creatures. I am devastated by this.
