I've been dealing with this vet for approx 10 years. I've periodically taken my pets to other places, but quickly found out that it was a mistake. The level of kindness and professionalism is what keeps me coming back. Heather is VERY nice, and always seems legitimately concerned for our animal's health. The vet is always willing to explain things in simple terms, and takes his time to make sure things are correct. Small town feel, but with real professionals! And their prices are a LOT cheaper than anywhere else. 5 stars from someone with 3 dogs and 2 cats!

I read the negative feedback on Shaffer - and found it funny. I had to have a long loved pet put to sleep - to say I was distraught is not enough. While I can't say that the folks at this clinic were truly adept at consoling a 58 year old man who could not talk because of his grief, Doctor Shaffer was the most loving person imaginable for my cat. He clearly cared and was deeply saddened to have to put him to sleep. Perhaps the good doctor was not as caring about an owners feelings - and hence a negative feedback. I don't know what the circumstances were. But, if you want a vet that truly cares about your pet - I highly recommend this clinic.

I have been taking our cats and dogs there for over 10 years, and even though we moved away from Camas we still take them there. He is the best vet I have ever had. Whomever put the negative feedback is a moron so ignore them. He doesn't do any unnecessary procedures to run up the tab (like a lot of vets do) and genuinely cares about the animals and their comfort.

Terrible customer service experience.
