I'd like to shout out to Dr. David Rustebakke. He is the most kind and caring veterinarian I know. Yesterday, Christmas Eve, I had a scare with my horse, Duke, with an impaction. He was rolling, cutting himself up, and clearly not feeling well. My worry was not only the horse, but that I was supposed to go out of town for Christmas Eve. I called Dr. Dave, and within the hour, he was at my house caring for my horse. He insisted I go out of town to spend time with my family, that he would check on him later. And what do you know, first thing this morning, Christmas Day, I got a call, and Dr. Dave was at my house checking on my horse, and told me he had checked on him last night around 10 pm, as well. Oh my gosh, who does that, other than the sweetest, most caring veterinarian I know. Merry Christmas Dave, you are the best!!

Rustebakke Veterinary Service and Dr. David Rustebakke and his crew are totally top notch in my book!!!! My husband Ed and I have so many good things to say, I could not possibly list them all here. Our most recent experience was last night. My beautiful mare Khachet Bey KF sired by our multi National Champion GS Khochise had a uterine twist. She is in foal to our young stallion, National Champion NYN Hisani. We treasure this mare and love the foals she has produced with Hisani. Dr. Rustebakke saved her life last night. He tranquilized her and with a spinal and local anesthesia, did a standing surgery going in through the flank and turning that foal. It was very difficult. I watched him and was so amazed that he was able to turn the foal and undo the twist. He did an ultrasound this morning - the foal was moving and had a normal heartbeat. Khachet also has normal vital signs. Thank you so much, Dave. You are my hero and my friend. Sandra Whitaker came to the clinic last night to assist Dave on her day off. Thank you Sandra Last spring our much loved little Aussie dog, Rooey, who has been blind since birth had a really bad accident. She is an amazing dog and seems to have a built in GPS system but on the night of the accident she was running at warp speed to help me turn out barn lights and ran into a vehicle. She was out cold for a bit. When she awoke she could not move. Dr. Rustebakke came out at 11 PM and treated her. The next day we took her to the clinic and Dr. Bell determined she had a very bad concussion and a cracked vertebrae. They suggested we give her some time and treated her for pain and to reduce swelling. Dr. Bell and Dr. Rustebakke both treated her with such kind and loving care and although she was unable to get up or walk for 11 days, they advised us on every aspect of her care, monitored her progress and gave us hope for her recovery when we though maybe we should let her go. Thanks to their talent and care we still have our great little dog. Dave, Jessica, Josh, Sandra and all the crew at Rustebakke Veterinary Service, you are the best!!

Be absolutely certain that the doctor remembers your appointment! Arrived for my early morning appointment and was very disappointed when the doc FORGOT about it! Thankfully, a very very nice and welcoming younger veterinarian eventually showed up to help me.

Dave Rustebakke is the best horse doc I have ever seen. We raise and train horses in the Lewiston, Clarkston area and have been using his services for over 20 years. He has never failed to help us out when a problem arose. His new clinic is awesome and he will now be able to give more folks the premium care they deserve.

Rustebakke Veterinary Service is top notch. The staff is extremely courteous and helpful. Our family loves Dr. Bell and she takes incredible care of our dogs. Our wait times have been minimal and the doctors and other staff are great about answering any questions we may have. We've also boarded our pups there with complete peace of mind that they are being well cared for while we're away. Without reservation, we would highly recommend RVS to others.
