I am a HUGE fan of both Dr. Onorati and Dr. Conger. They recently renovated their office and it is much larger and nicer. They are awesome about fitting your fur-friend in at the last minute if you have an emergency. You might have to wait a bit in the office to get examined, but they'll get you in. The prices are very reasonable. My Cavalier had to have surgery on his kneecaps. The surgical vet told me both hind legs needed to be done at a cost of $2500 per leg. Dr. Onorati examined my dog and said only one knee needed to be done and it would cost $800. They don't push unnecessary tests or procedures and if you have an elderly sick pet, they work with you to determine the best, most comfortable course of action for your pet, not whatever is the most expensive way to extend their life. I can't recommend Dr. Onorati and Dr. Conger highly enough. They are fantastic!

I wouldn't take my animals to any other vet as long as these vets are here. I am always treated nicely and my animals are always comfortable. I know I am getting the best care possible. They have not once tried to overprice me out of the office. At this point - I probably have them on retainer!! The staff is incredible. The office has been updated and some parking added. But for me, it isn't about that, it's about the doctors and staff.

I am so happy that I found this wonderful vet! My cat has some very serious medical problems and the vet is great at taking the time to help me really understand all of the issues and options and is wonderfully compassionate. I see Dr. Conger and she has a wonderful way with my cat- even after the shots and blood draws he still snuggles on her. Yes, sometimes their waiting room can be hectic, and if you have to come in on a Friday afternoon the wait can be a bit long, but it really is worth the wait.

Dr. Onorati and staff are so caring and professional. I have moved to different states over the years and was so pleased with Des Moines Veterinary Hospital. I was referred by a friend and have been pleased for years! I received top notch service for my shitzu sons, Odie and Gizmo. Even when my Odie was experiencing Heart failure at an old age, Dr. Onorati and staff's kindness made it possible to feel at peace and made him feel at peace during a difficult time. They are a busy hospital with little parking...but very well worth it!

I take all my parrots to Dr. Onorati. He is extremely caring, I always feel my pets are getting the best care possible from someone who genuinely loves animals. His staff is also courteous and knowledgeable. I did see someone mention that Dr. Onorati's the only avian vet in King County, there is one other vet, Dr. Tracy Bennett in North Seattle. She is also wonderful and extremely knowledgable on avian issues, she's just too far away for me (I live in Tacoma). I would have given five stars, the only reason I gave four is that the parking at the vet clinic is small and it's hard to find a place to park. The waiting room is also very tiny and always packed. But these small annoyances do not keep me away since the quality of care is so good.
