This is not the most expensive and well equipped clinic i have found but it is certainly the best veterinarian i have ever met. Located in the middle of a thoroughbred horse ranch. The vet is very good. The vibe is very good. The prices very. very fair.

Dr. Essex is old school but in a good way - he will tell it like it is, so don't expect coddling but he also wont up-sell or screw you with unnecessary procedures. Banfield wanted to charge me $3000 to remove benign tumors on my 10 year old dog and claimed it was causing her legs to shake. Dr. Essex checked her out, did an x-ray and said the dog has arthritis. He has some miracle CoQ10/SoD solution that treated her arthritis and mild heart condition. Within 2 weeks the shaking was gone and she lived another 5 years, 4 of which were as good as her prime! He doesn't charge an office visit for vaccines, doesn't OVER vaccinate like others, or mark up the vaccines.
