I love them. I have 3 dogs and the Vets/staff here are just wonderful. They actually care about your fur baby and treat them with all the respect they deserve. They even call you when you are late on your shots for them. I have never had a vet office do that for me. They are very reasonably priced, they understand we want to take care of our fur baby's but also need to afford it. Each experience has been GREAT. My 11 year old chocolate lab was very sick. They tested his blood and ran a few tests we found out he had diabetes. They saved my lab's life, he turned 13 last month and is doing great.
Not poor, terrible. Caused my cat to jump out of my car! They just lost my business and I I have been their client for over 5 years, maybe more. We've spend thousands of dollars at their clinic with two dogs and two cats. Today I took my cat in there for the 4th time in as many months. I did not have a cat carrier so I had my cat in a box. When I arrived today I purchased a $10.00 cardboard cat carrier from them. After my cats exam I realized that I did not have my wallet in my purse. I offered to pay with a check and not only did they refuse, they demanded the cat carrier back. My cat was already in the carrier, I removed her and of course she managed to jump out of the car. They did bring out a net and we were lucky enough to get her back. This was an embarrassing and stressful experience for both me and my cat. They obviously forgot that I have lots of choices where I can take my business and I always vote with my check book.
Great friendly staff, extremely fast and treated my puppy very kind!
I have been taking my animals to Value Pet Clinic Puyallup for several years now. I am a young married woman, so we really appreciate the prices the clinic gives. This clinic is great for general check-ups, vaccinations, and to spay or neuter your pet. However, the wait is long. Go in early(like before 9:30) or on slower weekdays to get in quickly. I would also NOT recommend this clinic if there is something wrong with your pet. They work very well in general terms with healthy pets. We have a German Shepherd who has intestinal disease. When we first brought up concerns, unknowing of his health problems, we went to Value Pet Clinic in Puyallup. The doctors and staff were very helpful, however they put us through over a thousand dollars of random tests(eliminating all possibilities) before they told us they couldn't help us. From there we switched to VCA. We no longer take our animals there for anything more than vaccinations or to spay/neuter.
After reading the other positive reviews here on Google, we took our new fur baby to the Kent clinic this Saturday morning. The clinic was very busy (as it IS a walk-in clinic). The only issue I had was trying to figure out the line situation at the front desk, because there is no specialized system. The staff behind the desk were working super hard, and were super friendly! So once I figured out how things are done, I was in and out very efficiently. On a personal level... I have not been to a vet but once or twice in my life, we had ranch dogs growing up and we took care of them the “old-fashioned way”. So this was my first experience in a long time. I will say that for us walking in completely unknown, everyone we dealt with was extremely professional and welcoming. They put our dog first (patient-centered care is not just for the 2-leggeds!) and they took care to answer all of our questions, including dispelling a wive's tale that my wife had heard and used growing up. I especially commend Dr. Trachtenberg for his tact in that situation. More or less, he said that if it worked for her, great! But there was no medical basis for it, and our pup really needed medicine! Again, in summary. Dr. Tractenberg and the entire staff, from the front desk to the vet techs gave what I believe to be EXCELLENT customer service. The predominant attitude in the clinic is that you are bringing in your family member, and they deserve the same care and compassion you expect for yourself. This visit was just an initial office consult. Nothing major. But at this point I fully intend to bring our pets to this clinic exclusively, as they have deeply impressed my wife and I.
