Words cannot express how grateful Catherine and I are for Dr. Berry and the staff of Lynden Veterinary Hospital! It was so painful to watch my “doghter” Prissy, my companion for the past 15 years, succumbing to effects of old age and physical degradation. Having just moved to Lynden, I had no idea where to take Prissy as she entered her final twilight years, but God guided us to LVH and you made the transition for Prissy (and for us) very caring, compassionate and understanding as we held Prissy and said good-bye. Thank you for going above and beyond for our entire family!

This vet is not recommended for reptiles. Dr. Barry is great with rhetoric and making you feel secure and at home while he reads off a list of expensive treatments your animal likely DOES NOT NEED. My snake was going through simple breeding activity and stopped eating. Dr. Barry ignored the obvious signs of my snakes breeding behavior (then unknown to me), and prescribed $150 worth of antibiotics for my non-sick snake. He was reluctant to give me information and even lied about normal snake behavior. Dr. Berry is a great mammal veterinarian. He is an idiot with reptiles and makes quick, rash decisions to make a fast dollar off of unknowing patients. My snake is fine. My wallet is lighter, and he is just simply a man trying to maximize profits off of the medical system same as every other doctor in western society.

I can't say enough great things about Dr. Berry and his entire staff... We have been taking all of our animals (cats & dogs) to the Lynden Vet Hospital for the past 12 years & every single visit has been excellent!! Everyone is very friendly and helpful, and most of all, CARING. You know what I mean when we love our animals just like our own kids - And Lynden Vet treats your animal just like that! Thanks so much to Dr Berry and his staff for everything you have done for my family in all these years!

Dr. Berry and his staff have been incredible. When we added some new kittens to our family, they ended up having viruses. Dr. Berry was so understanding about every detail of the situation. The staff is friendly every time I call and always get me in for what we need. They have gone over and above for our situation and I will never go anywhere else!

A very caring, and thorough vet hospital! We took our chameleon here as this was the only reptile vet within a reasonable distance from our home in Bellingham. Dr Berry took some x-rays and was very honest with us and said that he was unsure what a white mass that showed up in the picture was. He explained that she could be egg-bound (which is what I thought initially), she could be severely impacted with feces, that it could be a tumor, or even cancer. He said without exploratory surgery it would be very difficult to tell exactly what the problem is, and that they unfortunately didn't have a ton of experience with chameleon x-rays and could only make an educated guess at what it was. He advised against surgery due to expense, and the high likelyhood that our chameleon would not survive such an invasive procedure. He was fairly certain she wasn't egg-bound, and said it could be that she's just really impacted... and then explained how to treat that at home. Sadly she ended up dying 6 days later. :( We initially were going to bury her, but then decided to call Dr Berry and see if he was interested in performing an autopsy in order to gain insight into what went wrong with her, and to hopefully be able to help them out in the future with diagnosing similar x-rays. I fully expected him to be too busy and uninterested, but thought it was worth a shot so she wouldn't have died in vein -- and to hopefully help out others in the future. To my utter delight he was extremely interested, and was very very compassionate considering it was "only" a reptile. He took the time out of his day to call me and discuss the procedure results for over 15 minutes, answered every question I had, thanked us profusely for bringing her in so that he could educate himself and staff even more, and was very sympathetic and professional the entire time. As it turns out, she had cancer throughout her intestines and there was nothing we could have done to prevent it, or cure it even if we had discovered it earlier... definitely not a good thing to hear, but it certainly helped with closure. We love our pets, no matter what species they are, and strive to give them the best care possible. After this experience with Dr Berry, we will be bringing our pets to his hospital from now on as long as we're within 100 miles of his clinic. Thank you Dr Berry!!
