I noticed the other reviews were all pretty old, so I wanted to share my experience. Worst vet experience(S) ever! Bought into the wellness plan, which is not horrible as I did get dental cleaning, but originally had taken him in for a puncture in his foot that was infected and he was chewing it raw. Did some tests, nothing definitive, meds and more money. Did an X-Ray - meds and more money, no one called about it so never heard anything until I took him back in... Nothing definitive - let's refer it to another doctor. NO FOLLOW UP at all. In fact I had to ASK THEM about the last test. Several weeks gone by now and it is not healing. Well let's do a Biopsy. Wait, what about the referral of the other vet, Oh we did not see anything. I gave up at that point. I was over $1100 into this mess an NO results, just anti-biotics that worked until he started chewing at it again after the cone of shame came off. EVERY time I went there, it was no less than a 30 minute wait. I came SO close to walking out, but I already had major dollars invested and he needed help. NEVER Saw the same vet either. 3 visits, three different vets and had to start over every time to explain what was happening with my dog. I finally just gave up completely on this clinic. The wound eventually healed (after a long stint with a cone collar), but no need to knock him out, cut open his foot, spend over $700 MORE for this procedure which would have come back - Nothing Definitive. What a joke. Save yourself some money and grief as they are probably the most poorly run organization I have been too.

Our vet retired so I needed a knew one. I went to Banfield. So the Vet. assistant fishes with trying to lop my head off like a car salesman with some huge inflated number for shots, thus creating a wound just like a car salesman. Low and behold she had a solution! A wellsnes plan. It was just like a time share pitch! The prices for shots are entirely tooooooooo much! They are not competitive in the market place. When you need boosters shots the following weeks Banfield charges you for an exam even know they just saw the dog a couple of weeks ago. Thats an extra $70.00! Avoid at ALL costs!

I have been going to Banfield for about 4 years now with my dog. In that time I can say that I have had only one negative experience. Afterward I discussed at length my concerns with them and I have been quite happy with the care and professionalism that has been shown. With the care plan that I have, my dogs ongoing health is monitored, she gets all of her shots, and she has a dental cleaning every year. She recently had to have surgury to remove a growth, and the medical plan saved me well over double the cost of the plan, compared to any other veteranarian in the area. Unfortunately, only complaints tend to get logged for experiences. I am generally the same way. My experience at Banfeild has been a very positive one. I know my dog is in good hands and receives the best possible care. I would have it no other way.

My cat had an eye infection which looked painful so I broght her to the nearest vet I knew of. I was told the initial physical exam would be about $40, and a diagnosis would be made from that. I was also expecting to have to pay for any medications my cat would need. I felt as though the doctor and the assistant were trying to sell me something from the minute I walked in. First it was the wellness plan that Banfield offers. When the doctor saw my cat, she offered some pain relief meds which require some tests to see if the kitty is strong enough to handle them. They also wanted to do full bloodwork on her. I suspected that I was being ripped off but decided to go along with it since it was getting late and I thought my cat was in pain. I felt like they were business people out to make a profit, more than I felt like they were veterinarians who wanted to help animals. When I left the office I paid about $260... not to mention I got the idea at the end of all this the doctor hand't pinpointed exactly what was wrong with my cat's eye. She sent me home with some pain relief meds and eye ointment to administer at home. The staff was friendly enough, that's why Banfield gets 2 stars instead of 1.

I would give a Zero feedback if I could. I bought my pet in to check his right legs. They diagnosed him to arthritics. They asked to take x-ray which will cost $400. I am not aware of other places so I almost took an x-ray for my dog. I had to make sure with other place and just to check x-ray cost. They don't see any of arthritics symptoms at all. I couldn't believe it so I went to another place. They also see Ban Field misdiagnosed. I always hear people's bad feedback about Ban Field but it comes to us from this incident. Most of vets cost you around $200 for x-ray. So be aware of this place where you could bring your pet to death. Another thing is that Ban Field has no idea or even no qualified doctors who can give you the right medicines. 200% chances are that they give you or attempt to sell you a product to make a profit without consideration of your dog's allergic condition. They should not sell products which could bring a horrible allergy to your dog, that is non-refundable. I get that medication is not usually refundable but they should not sell those without taking a 10 seconds look on each charts. They will stiffen your pets' body. be careful.
