I've been to Value pets for multiple animals of mine, usually vaccinations but ive never had a problem before. Until Saturday Dec. 6th I made an appointment for my pit-bull mix to be spayed and micro-chipped ($163) Sunday I noticed my dog was peeing large amounts of blood, clots and dripping. After multiple attempts at researching and calling multiple emergency clinics I took her to Sumner 24 hour vet clinic. The next day, Monday, I took her back to Value Pets to have a urinalysis. Tuesday I go back and they tell me that after they did her surgery she some how manages to contract a UTI and needed a prescription of Clavamox ($109). While I was there I also asked them to take a look at her incision site because it had like an egg sized rock around it and seemed very red and irritated. The doctor told me to do hot water compressed to reduce the swelling (SEEMS ODD WHEN THEY TELL YOU THAT THE ADHESIVE THEY USE TO HOLD THE SITE TOGETHER IS NON-WATERPROOF) but I follow the care instructions and the next day i notice blood again. I lift her up and half of her incision is opened and she is bleeding. I instantly dressed the wound and called value pets. At this point obviously I was tired of dealing with them and I was not in my most polite state. The lady tells me to come in, I couldn't make it in time because they closed to early. The lady I talked to was extremely unhelpful, she basically just said "sorry ma'am there's nothing i can do for you".... well once again I returned to Sumner clinic where they told me that the doctor who examined her incision must have missed the fact that she was having an extreme allergic reaction to the adhesive they used to hold her together and the inflammation was pushing the two sides of skin apart making it bust open. They cleaned her wound and stapled it together and renewed her prescription for a pain pill to ease the discomfort. My dog is my baby and if i would have known that getting her fixed would take 5 vet visits and $346 I would have just taken her to a better quality vet. Shed be in far less pain and I'd be way happier having gone somewhere else. The vet is okay for vaccinations but as for surgeries in my opinion they are incompetent . Just pay the little extra and go somewhere quality, your animal will appreciate it..

I took my dog in to get treatment for inflamation around the outside of the eye. they charged me about $150 gave me some steroids and said to come back if it did not get better. They said that they checked for mites but found none. the inflamation did not improve. I returned, was given antibiotics and was charged another $100. The eye did not improve. I took the dog to Puyallup Valley Vet. they identified the problem as mites, gave me the medicine I need. the vet at Value Pet Clinic could not properly identify the problem. I complained about being charged $250 total without getting any remedy. they refused to give any sort of credit to my acct. If you want vaccinations, then see Value Pet Clinic but beware that you are working with people just out of vet school and they have very little experience.

Took my cat in for a check-up and neuter. Front desk was very helpful and courteous. We saw the veterinary assistant before the procedure, and they recommended that we have a FIV test done before any vaccines or procedures, as the cat had been missing for 6 months, and they didn't want me to pay for a lot of unnecessary stuff if the cat was dying anyways. I thought that was very considerate. The test was negative so they went ahead with the procedure. Before I came and picked up my cat, I got a personal phone call from the vet herself, who had done a full exam and recommended a few treatments. She gave me the prices and got my ok before doing anything. I really appreciated the way they handled my business and will go back again.

I have been taking my dog, Shelby, to Value Pet Clinic for a few years now. They are so wonderful to us and our doggie. From the moment I walk in the door, they all know who I am and (more importantly) who Shelby is. They all love her and take just as good care of her as I do at home. Shelby is 20 years old, (no lie!) and is starting to deteriorate, and the staff and vets could not be more helpful and loving. I very much want to send my appreciation to the dedication and love that the staff shows us every visit. Even at low-cost, I feel like it's a steal, because they all give so much more than we pay for! Thank you all!

I brought my 10 year old Lab because she wasn't doing well. I found out she had cancer. The Veterinarian and staff was very caring and helped make her passing as peaceful as possible. It made it easier to let her go.
