Best support I have been able to find in over 4 years of living in the Seattle area. Taking my medium-sized dog to the vet has progressively become a stressful and frustrating ordeal. The 4 different veterinary offices I have tried over the years have given my dog such terrible anxiety and fear about being at the vet's office. The Broadway Vet Hospital was prepared, experienced, and knowledgeable about dealing with such issues. The doctor and other staff treated both my dog and I with respect and individual consideration. The pricing was very reasonable for the expertise I received. I have paid more money to vets who didn't even really examine my dog and consequently were not able to cure our problems. BVH did a reasonable examination, they did not try to hustle me into the most expensive course of action for my dog's health issue, and they provided me with helpful advice and referrals. They also took extensive notes and asked about our previous vet in order to obtain old health records. If you are tired of feeling like you are just a number and a dollar sign $$, instead of a person with a sick loved-one, I recommend this veterinary hospital.
THank you Broadway Vet! You were so compassionate when I had to say goodbye to my little Noel. The staff and vets at this facility are truly loving people who clearly care a great deal about animal lives, and will do their best to preserve their health and - when the time comes - help them make a peaceful transition into the next life.
I've had nothing but good experiences here with my cats over the past three years. They don't force me to come in for some routine problems and just let me pick up the meds at the office without a full office visit occasionally. They know how to handle my cats well. One of my cats just hops right into the carrier when I pull it out because he doesn't dread going to the vet. That's a first for me! :)
Receptionist Tim is a little cold and unfriendly. This place is pricey, so you need to expect that going in. Right off the bat, they tried to tell me my pet would need an expensive procedure and tried to bully me into scheduling it the next morning. I called around to get second and third opinions. It became apparent that they were jumping the gun and I'm glad I just waited it out and didn't go through with it. All that being said, the doctor actually cares (although she's a little wacky.) If you're watching your pocketbook, I'd definitely suggest trying the Maple Leaf Vet Clinic (who charges at least $10 less for a basic exam), or AllPet vet in Shoreline. This place is not for those of us who are trying to be responsible but thrifty pet owners.
