I had recently moved to the area and was looking for a Veterinary for my pets. I was so Happy when I found them. Melissa is so kind and thoughful. I knew at that moment she would be the one to take care of my pets for as long as I lived close by. I would Highly recommend her and the Veterinary Hospital. I will not go anywhere else. We have had excellent care throughout the many years our dog, Miles, was a patient at Carkeek Veterinary Hospital. I would give them five stars if only they were not quite as busy. Sometimes you need to book an appointment a couple of days in advance and this was not always easy for us when Miles became very ill. We were very impressed with the knowledge and caring of the two doctors who took care of Miles, Dr. Michael Jolivet and Dr. Amy Rossi. A large springer/lab who had hip dysplasia when he was a puppy and had two triple pelvic osteotomies to correct his hips, Miles developed severe arthritis and neuralgia later in life, but because of their care we managed to keep his quality of life quite good up until his last days. When in his final months it would have been difficult for him to get into the car and come to the clinic, they would do phone consultations and call in his prescriptions. This saved him so much pain and suffering. Their reception staff was also amazing and kind, putting up with many crisis calls. They also helped me find a compassionate veterinarian who made a home visit to put Miles to sleep here at home when it finally was the right time. I will definitely use Carkeek Park Veterinary Hospital again.

Ironically enough my first experience with Carkeek Park Veterinary Hospital was when we needed to put down our 15 year old dog, Kobe. I knew his health was deteriorating and wanted to make some phone calls ahead of time so I would have a plan. I called the 3 different Vet offices that we'd had a relationship with. All 3 told me that Kobe would have to come in for an exam ($$) prior to putting him down to be certain that the decision was not being made prematurely. A friend told me about Carkeek Park and said I should check with them. I gave them a call and explained what Id been running into with the other offices. CP said that if it was fairly obvious upon our arrival that Kobe's quality of life was poor, they would allow me to make the decision and they would euthanize him. They were so professional and kind, allowing me to stay in the room the whole time as well as giving me as much time as I needed afterward. That was 3 years ago. In Feb. we decided to get a new puppy...Tux, and there was never any question which Veterinary Hospital we would be using. I live in Magnolia and there are certainly a number of offices closer, but I would not consider going anywhere else. Thank you Carkeek Park, for your kindness and compassion.
