I read all of the reviews and took my dog to McKim based on your threads. The experience was not good - I too had a misdiagnosed dog /lots of unnecessary tests and he refered me to dermotologist but it was lymphoma (cancer). Going forward for people that read the blog reviews, our experience in details is probably more helpful. For instance, if you only go to McKim 1X a year for shots then, you more then likely would say it was a good experience. Did your dog have cancer and stating what steps and proceedures he suggested and the follow up of your pet progress. This type of detail might be more helpful to people like myself that rely on your feedback and trust in your opinion. I have been through an awful lot and love the dog enormously. Yes, I feel cheated - and in the back of my mind, I cant help but wonder, if we had caught it sooner and got the dog to chemo 4 months earlier,would it make a difference? We pet owners are very compassionate when it comes to Vets and believe that every Vet has been in the position of having a misdiagnosis- We just hope its not our pet that is the receipient of such bad news.

Our husky has had numerous mishaps and illnesses over the past seven years. Dr. McKimm has taken wonderful care of her including successfully removing a cancerous tumor and sewing up her eyelid after a scuffle with another animal. A great practice run by people who care about our companion animals. Steve S.
