In the last year my dog was bitten by a raccoon pretty severely on his hind quarters. Being a VERY fuzzy dog, I had no idea he was injured until the wound was really infected. I took him to the vet at Luna Park. They shaved my poor doggie and dressed his wounds. They provided fair care to my very much loved friend. Almost a year has passed since the initial raccoon bite....and ...well.....he was attacked again. Another pretty severe injury. This time I noticed right away, so I took him back to the vet at Luna Park. My problem with this vet is that I had just paid all my bills ect....and was really strapped for money the day before payday. I literallyhad $30 dollars to my name....most of us have been there.....I told the office girls my issue and they said they wouldn't consider even looking at my poor injured dog without payment up front. -First of all....they didn't demand payment up front before.....-second.....out of respect for them, I told them BEFORE I had any services that I wouldn't have any money until midnight. I could have just kept my mouth shut until after they helped my dog. They refused to help us. I begged them to PLEASE work something out with me....a check.....keep my dog until the next morning...ANYTHING. they refused unless I paid at least half of the bill up front. So my poor dog bleeding and injured (and 14 years old) and I had to find services elsewhere. * I realize that this is a tough world...and they are running a business.....but we were repeat customers of thier establishment, they already provided care to my elderly fuzzy friend in the past....I figured that would count for something as well as be best for my dog as they have his records onsite. Still.....I even pled with the doctor to help....surely there must be something that they could do to work something out....stil the answer was NO. I guess that money was much more important to them than providing care for an obviously injured animal. I ask this....what would be the biggest risk for them???? an unpaid bill? COLLECTIONS???? Guess I should have just kept my mouth shut until AFTER they helped us....and just told them to bill me....and then paid the bill the very next day. WOW....huge risk for them. The risk to us was possible death and suffering of my very sweet and helpless dog. I will NEVER grace this establishment with my business OR the love of my great friend "King" again. Shame on them.
All the people and doctors we have worked with here have treated us very well. We have never had to wait more than 5 minutes to get in. We have taken our pets here for the last 15 years. I took my cat in for emergency close to their closing time and they all stayed late to ensure she was taken care of. None of the staff complained and they seemed so happy to help! All of my family takes their pets here and now some of my friends are switching to this vet.
I have been taking my dog here for years and everyone is always very friendly and helpful . If I were to move, I would still make the drive.
We've taken our Boston Terrier to the Pet Care Center for about three years. He's had check-ups, shots, flea-prevention, and one-minor foot surgery set up there, and we've been very happy with the service that we've received. Additionally, the prices at the Center are much more competitive than the ones at our former vet in Renton. The doctors have even avoided charging us for follow-up visits after our guy's foot surgery. I highly recommend them.
Dr. Griffith was very knowledgeable, patient, and thorough with my tempermental calico. In fact, this was Chelsea's first vet visit that didn't upset her! Great experience all around!
