I called to ask about treatment for my pup, as Tahoma is closer than my usual Vet. The receptionist was rude; she was more interested in getting my personal data inputed into the computer than in a brief conversation about care for my dog, or even speaking to me person to person rather than as a number with a billing address. She wasn't able to answer any questions about care for my dog after I made it through her gauntlet questionaire, so I'll just drive the extra 15 minutes to my humble but friendly Vet.
They are AMAZING! I take my 2 dogs and cat to see them and they treat my animals very well, especially my Pit bull. I've only dealt with Dr. Cooper and Dr. Long and they are both very professional, you know they really care about animals, they play with my furbabies and they are very knowledgeable and explain things to where I understand. They are very patient and loving with my animals. Best of all, they are down the street from my house. I love this place!
I have dealt with Tahoma Veterinary Hospital on several occasions. I have had both Dr. Straus and Dr. Cooper deal with my 16 year old Springer Spaniel. The whole staff has been amazing. They all offered care and support, kindness and love to my dog. Not only are their rates incredibly reasonable in comparison to other Vet clinics (charging cost price for medications, IVs, and IV tubing and needle), they also charge a ridiculously small amount for medications, x-rays, tests and exams. On multiple times they have charged only one office visit charge when I have taken my dog in several times for continuing treatment of the same condition. They have done this even when I have had to go in after hours. On several occasions I have had to question the billing because it seemed so low for all the care provided (literally half the price other vets charge), Their hours are very flexible and long. I live in Tacoma and willingly drive the 1 hour round trip for them to treat my dog. The doctors are compassionate, honest and offer all alternatives in plain language along with providing detailed written instructions for administration of medications and all medical findings. I used to go to a different and much closer Vet hospital, but when that vet retired, I became very unhappy with the changes to the hospital from treatment, attitude and pricing that resulted with the new vet staff and doctors. Although my dog is at the end of her very long life, and I know the time is near to end her suffering because her quality of life cannot be maintained, I know that Tahoma Veterinary Hospital will treat me and my dog with respect, care, dignity and love. I will continue to take my cat to Tahoma Vet Hospital. My only complaint is they are a 30 minute drive from my house. However, this is well worth the excellent care provided. I recommend Tahoma Vet Hospital to everyone without any reservations.
Just called to get some information regarding my dogs torn ACL and the woman who answered the phone was rude, unhelpful, and made me feel as though she was put off by the fact that I called. Literally was not able to give me any information regarding cost, care, timeline...nothing. Wont be using this vet ever.
This Vet office is amazing! Everyone is so friendly, and helpful. The doctors are great .We see Dr. Kertson, he is down to earth, and really has a deep concern for our pet. What a wonderful place!
