They are on the more expensive side but I will not go anywhere else. I have been going here for over 24 years, for 19 or so of those years we always saw the same Dr., Dr Carlson, best vet ever ... unfortunately she has moved on to another practice and city but recommended another one of the vets working there as the best fit for us, knowing us as well as she did. We now see Dr Khachatryan and are very happy with him as our regular vet. He always works with us and knows our furbabies are our everything! The fact that they are now an emergency facility and open 24hrs is a huge bonus, love them!! I recommend if at all possible to see the same vet or two so they know your furbabies history and are more familiar with how your furbaby is and what is or isn't normal for them. Don't know anything about the boarding end of things but have taken a training class and was very happy with it and the outcome.

Thank you to the Sumner Vet Clinic staff and doctors for always taking such good care of my two pugs. Last week, Pita had an injury to her toenail and was in pain. I called and was told to come down immediately and there would be a doctor available to help her. Almost immediately after we sat down in the waiting room, they called us back. The tech took a few quick vitals and then whisked her off to be treated. A short 10 minutes later, they returned Pita with a little soft cast and gave me instructions to help her heal. They also clipped all her nails for me so they would not have the same injury. They are always willing to help financially as well when times are hard. I would not hesitate to recommend them to all my family and friends and always feel they take the best care of my pups.

We were heartbroken when our 15-year-old shih tzu went into heart failure in the wee hours after Thanksgiving Day. We took her in to Sumner Veterinary, where the very kind doctor let us know that the decision must be made to put out dog down. The vet and his technician were compassionate, kind, and patient. They made a heart-breaking situation easier. Sumner Veterinary is a top-notch organization and our pets are lucky to have such wonderful people to care for them.

TERRIBLE!!! We boarded our dogs there and they needed their immunizations beforehand. My husband was told that the immunizations, grooming and boarding would be $450. When I went to pick them up, the total wound up being just shy of $600! We had also paid extra because one of our dogs needed his thyroid medication dispensed to him, but several of the pills were given back to me when I had dropped him off with the exact amount he had needed. Our dogs are on a special diet and they told me they had not been fed yet when I picked them up, but they did not give me the rest of the food that I had sent with them. My dogs were sent home with a lovely parting gift - kennel cough. I'm up at 3:00am writing this review because they have been up hacking all night. I called yesterday to see if I could bring them to the vet for no charge (which I think would be the right and decent thing for them to do considering this obviously happened at their facility), but I was told they couldn't guarantee that they wouldn't charge me since my dogs could have gotten sick from the immunizations and not the boarding. My dogs were boarded for almost a week, so wouldn't they have shown symptoms while they were there if it was from the immunizations? Shouldn't someone have noticed and told us about it? I think it's more than likely that it was contracted there and they just don't want to own up to it. I feel sick that I trusted this place with two of our family members. If you care about your pets (and your money), take them elsewhere!
