I've been going to Cascade Vet Clinic for over 25 years and they've been the vet for my cat and now dogs. Dr. Burdan was our vet for the majority of those years and now we see Dr. Womack. Both of these men are amazing and their love of animals is very apparent. They have big hearts and a passion for animals. Two years ago we kenneled our dogs when my brother died...and when we returned home we were going to be a little late past the time for boarding pickup. The office manager Candi was kind enough to meet us there in her off time so we could pick up our dogs and they could be with us that evening. It was a blessing to have them with us even moreso that night because we were devastated with the family loss. Debbie is a gem and has been then for years. She's always kind, thoughtful, helpful and loves saying hi to her extended animal lover family. She's helped us through many moments along the way. I'm very thankful for Dr. Womack who has been there for me through the loss of a cat, and this past year the loss of our beloved labrador. He went above and beyond. He genuinely cares for his animal patients and provides the best care possible. Our chocolate lab had developed cancer and it was quickly diagnosed by Dr. Womack...unfortunately it was more progressive than we expected and my sweet boy was gone 10 days later. Dr. Womack provided us with the opportunity to have him put down at home in a loving and compassionate way. I will forever be grateful that he was able to pass at home....surrounded by love and with those who loved him. I really cannot say enough good things about him. We have a new puppy and he's provided excellent care for him and my 12 year old black lab too. After our loss of chocolate lab....Dr Womack and his staff have been incredibly supportive even after the loss. They understand that our animals..are our family members. I'm thankful for have such a caring, kind and knowledgeable vet in our valley and clinic. He's helped us many times with different issues that happen when owning pets. The problem with Cascade Veterinary Clinic is the management. Unfortunately, the reason why I will never take my pets back to Cascade Vet after being very connected with them for quite some time, is because they have heartless people running it. Candi, the "director" is one of the heartless people I have met. She very clearly does not care about the pets, nor owners who come through the vet. On multiple occasions I have seen her roll her eyes, and heard her use inappropriate language/make inappropriate comments in front of customers as well as behind their back. People who bring their pets to the clinic bring them because their pets are struggling, and Candi solely cares about how much money she is going to get out of them. She shows not even a shred of empathy or compassion. I do want to stress how incredible the doctors are, however. Each and every one one of them care about every pet that comes through the door, but its such a shame they pay such little attention to the people they are letting "run" the business. Has anyone else noticed how often they are going through employees? It is obvious how poorly they are treated. If they could manage to keep a couple of good receptionist around for longer than six months, customers wouldn't have to deal with the clinic being constantly in the "training" stage. Nobody knows who I am when I go in there anymore, and its sad because I have been going there for quite some time. Finally, the clinic is getting too big for its own good. On multiple occasions I have tried to call in and make an appointment, only to have to wait up to two weeks to get in (after waiting on hold for over ten minutes, and dealing with a new girl who is still learning). Cascade vet needs to get itself together and bring the focus back to the compassion towards the pets. It is very dissapointing to see this business go downhill because the owners arent taking control of their management.

Our regular vet was out of town and our dog seemed lethargic and in pain so we opted to take her to Cascade knowing nothing about it. Our dog was there all day where she received x-rays, blood work, and a full exam. At the end of the day we paid over $300 and the only diagnosis we were given was her heart looked abnormally large and to give her pain medication to mask her symptoms. When our regular vet came back into town we took our dog in for a second opinion. She was able to make an educated guess as to what was ailing our dog within a couple of hours and started her on medication immediately. She ran a specific blood test looking for tick born diseases and her original prognosis was confirmed with the test results. I would never, ever take my dogs back to Cascade and if you would like veterinary care that will get your results and not just empty your pockets go to Paws & Claws in East Wenatchee. They are refunding us over $100 for the blood work that was done.

My dog was let outside to "do his thing", but after relentless barking, I went to check things out. I was horrified to find his nose was bloodied, and after his examination, discovered the muscles and nerves that retract the nictitating membrane in his left eye were damaged. He also had moderate bruising along his brow bone. Someone had hurt my dog, either throwing a rock, kicking him, etc. when I wasn't watching. Being new to the area (and panicked), I did a Google search for emergency vet calls, and Cascade came up first. I called immediately, and the staff person was very calm, very understanding, and asked that I come in right away after I said my dog's breathing became labored. My roommate raced us down to Cascade, and found the staff to be very efficient and caring, the doctor was excellent, and the price for the visit was very, very reasonable. After less than a week, my dog is back to full-health, and I (and my 13 year old dog) couldn't be more appreciative for all of the staff and doctors at Cascade. Thank you!!

While the Dr’s are knowledgeable, you’ll never see the same one twice. They must be on some type of client rotation. Dr. K. Harrington was phenomenal with our dog too bad the support staff is incompetent. The front desk and waiting area is always chaotic. The bookkeeper/secretary (office mgr?) was incredibly rude and extremely insensitive to our situation. She has horrible communication skills and has irrational/liable emotions. I won’t go back again. Which is too bad because all the Dr’s that have taken care of our dogs are great, they just need to clean up their staff.
