We've always had great service here. Wonderful people! Sad that Dr. Dan retired but the next generation hasn't missed a beat!!

Just after adopting my dog from a shelter, I took him here to get checked over and was told he had an ear infection; I paid for the drops they told me he needed and administered them properly, but, when it didn't clear up, I went back in and when they re-checked him, they said that he actually had ear mites, and made me pay for the office visit and more treatment even though they were the ones who'd misdiagnosed him. Also, I've been a professional dog groomer for five years and usually groom my mother's tiny dachshund mix, but since I've relocated to another city, she took him here last week for a simple all-over shave-down. She arrived on time, the dog is complete docile and it's really the most basic groom you could ask for, and they completely botched it. There are long hairs all over him, it's horribly choppy, the pads weren't shaved well, it's longer than she asked for, and all for over $40. I re-shaved him entirely and took me fifteen minutes and looked perfect. I'll never bring my dogs here again, and my mother will be going elsewhere to get her easy little dog groomed!!

My pup Dexter goes to daycare once a week at Animal Hospital of Howard. Every time we walk in he gets very excited! And the staff is always friendly and helpful - even helping me get his very complicated car harness on before we leave.

I'm extremely happy with staff and the doctors. Very thorough with my boxer pup. They take time to answer all my silly and over protective questions. I highly recommend them.

Definitely this is a wonderful place to take your pet for medical care. We have a miniature Dachshund that recently became paralyzed, dragging her rear legs behind her. Our local vet told us to immediately take her for surgery. We took our vet’s advice and drove from Upper Michigan to Appleton Wisconsin as directed. Upon arrival we were told that “time was of the essence” and that for starters our dog needed an immediate $4,500 surgical procedure. We were floored as we are on a fixed income. On the way back to Michigan we decided to pursue a second opinion stopping at the Animal Hospital of Howard near closing time. The receptionist and staff were exceptionally warm and friendly and spent the extra time necessary to schedule our pet in for evaluation. To make a long story short, one treatment of acupuncture put our dog back on her feet within 24 hours. She recovered fully within two weeks and jumps and plays with our other two miniature Dachshunds as though the injury never happened. The final cost was less than $130 (compared to $4,500 +).
