Hidden fees and unnecessary care that I would have declined, had I been given a choice. A lack of transparency in fees before the fact. For example, on hidden fees: I paid a bill and I saw (after the fact) that I had been charged $15 for asking the front desk a question that they couldn't answer. They had to ask the vet if it was ok that there was some snow in the urine sample I brought in. Bottom line: too expensive and also nickel and diming going on. The staff is kind and friendly, but that is a disconnect with the approach to fees, exorbitant fees for dental and a lack of transparency.

My husband and I rescued a 4 week old kitten who was nearly dead by the time we got him to the clinic. The entire staff RUSHED to help him---as in, within minutes of arrival. They quoted me "lifesaving measures" at around $150 which included the catheter IV, warming him, de-worming, de-flea, all of which I agreed to. However, by the next morning, the bill was up to $225, with a final bill of $264. I asked the doctor personally if she would be willing to come off the bill at ALL, considering this was a "good samaritan" act. I told them I'd be very willing to pay the original $150--no such luck. So, $264 later, we have a mostly healthy kitten, who was taken great care of.

Very unreasonable price wise. Definatley would not suggest for college age students who are strapped for cash. Each visit was another $40 here, another $50 there. I have one cat and he ended up costing over $500 (without declawing!) My roomates have an Alaskan Malamut / Timber Wolf that cost about a third of the price to get all its shots done because they did it elsewhere. The staff are very friendly and helpful, but its kinda hard to enjoy their kindness when they're passing you a $130 bill with 3 follow up $50 visits with 2 additional visits in between. (That'll put you back another $80)
