I've had good experiences for the most part at Banfield. I have met many of the vet techs and they have all been extraordinarily nice and helpful. I purchased the wellness plan when I got my kitten because it seemed like a good deal with the spay/neuter, and I still feel it was. I have seen Dr Trepel and he is also very nice and helpful. If I continue to bring my cat here it will be because of him. The complaints I have, and why I am not sure if I will return, are that they failed to notice that the kitten I thought was female was actually male until he was neutered 3 visits later, and after he went for his comprehensive exam he became very ill. It cost me a very expensive trip to the UW emergency vet to find out he had "kitty flu." They clearly need to take more care to ensure the healthy pets are kept away from the sick ones.

I have been taking my Bichon to Banfield East since I got him at 6 months old. He is now almost 9. Dr. Trepl has been AMAZING! I do feel like my dog is in good care when I drop him off for a day long visit. It seems as though they treat him well. Dr. Trepl is a caring, compassionate man and does the best with animals. As far as nurses and front desk staff, I don't have any complaints. They get me what I need, they answer my questions when I call and seem to genuinely care about my pup. I have had great experiences at Banfield East.

We have been with Dr Tepel for over ten years. By far, he is the best Vet we have ever used. One of the most compassionate people in the business. We have three dogs in his care along with our son's St Bernard.. Plus it's fun to have fun every year when his alma mater, Iowa State plays mine, Iowa..

The front desk lady Heather is extremely rude. We had canceled for our dog to get spayed yet they called stating that she had an appt to get spayed and if we didn't make it they would charge us for missing it. I politely called to cancel it and she was very rude said okay and hung up on me. I will no longer be going there anymore and I have told multiple friends who once wanted to go there but now changed their minds.

We brought our cat in and it was discovered after several visits that he had a foreign body blockage. Dr. Donahue and the staff worked SO HARD to give us all of the treatment options, and were able to present us with a care plan that worked wonders. Our kitty is already on the road to recovery, and is expected to be just fine. We also decided to purchase the wellness plan, and are so glad we did. From just our three visits this last week, have have saved over $650. We are looking forward to returning to Banfield in the future (but hopefully just for routine things, and not emergency surgery!)
