Recently went to Bayshore veterinary clinic for my pup's routine check-up. First impressions as I walked up to reception were very good. The building was clean with enough of seating in case you need to keep your pet away from others waiting for their appointment. Also, the receptionists were outstanding. They answered my general questions and were very professional as I arrived for the appointment and checked out. Perry did a great job asking questions about my Puppy's medical history and what I've been doing as his caretaker. Dr. Singh soon arrived with another tech. Dr. Singh was fantastic and thorough with the pup.He reached out to the pup's previous vet to inquire about vaccinations and took his time while he did the examination. Dr. Singh and the tech did a remarkable job administering vaccinations and going over every question I had as I am a first time puppy owner. I've been to many other vets while taking care of previous family dogs and I can honestly say this is best. The thoroughness, honesty, and great staff will keep me coming back (hopefully not too often). Chuck is a clinic cat,He seems like a wonderful cat
When my kitten was first brought to Bayshore Vet Clinic, he was literally almost dead. He was limp and cold. Dr. Singh gave him some medicine and he came back to life within a few minutes. Dr. Singh is the only vet I will use!
My elderly dog has been a happy patient of Dr.Singh for 3yrs now. What I appreciate most is his practical approach to vet care rather trying to sell you a procedure or lab that isn't necessary. My dog has had several problems and even though I've moved out of the area Dr.Singh still returns my calls same day to give advice on what treatment or test is needed. I love this vet clinic & love to recommend them to any pet owner. The staff is caring & professional in returning your calls in a timely manner.
Overall I was not satisfied with Bayshore Veterinary Clinic. I got a 10 week old husky puppy and being a UWM student, I tried this clinic first, since it was within walking distance. I honestly wanted to like this place because of the location and it is relatively cheap. To begin with, the actual inside of the clinic is not up to par compared to other clinics in the area. Very small and cramped. My first visit was pretty standard but as I continued to go there to get the four rounds of shots all puppies need, problems began to occur regularly. I am just going to list off the problems, in no chronological order. Once I simply asked if my puppy appeared to be too skinny, and at that moment Dr. Singh simply opened a can of prescription dog food, fed it to my puppy without so much of asking me, and then charged me for that can. My puppy then proceeded to throw it all up as soon as I got home. On my next visit he tried to prescribe a whole pack of that food to me (sold by them of course) but i vigorously refused. They, on numerous occasions had incorrect information. On my visit to get my puppies third round of shots, they had it listed as her second round of shots, all but ready to continue with a unneeded extra round if I hadn't of said something. What if I didn't remember or keep track of what shots she had? Also, other than Dr. Singh, no one there seemed to have any real knowledge and seemed to be more of secretaries, or assistants with no education in animal care. All places have employees like this, but most other clinics at least have one or two assistants who have knowledge. Bayshore Clinic had very young assistants, who were often clearly in training. I even began to highly question the knowledge of Dr. Singh, so much so that I looked at his "about me" which states he graduated from agricultural school, and worked as a village vet in india, working on large animals, like lions so it states. Maybe that provided proper knowledge but normally I would like to see that he went to vet school rather than agricultural school. Once I was 10 minute late and they left me sitting in examination room for like 30 minutes, as if i was being punished. At least that is how it felt to me. My fault i know but I would like the benefit of doubt for the service I'm paying for. I finished the puppy shots there, which is when they asked if I wanted to schedule a date for her spaying. At that point, after about 5 visits at Bayshore Vet Clinic, the thought in my head was "No way would I ever even think about letting this place spay my dog." Therefore I switched to Small Animal Hospital on Newhall, right off Brady (Great place, Highly Recommend!!!) and asked the receptionist at Bayshore to please transfer my dog's records. When I asked my new vet if Bayshore did indeed send my puppies records, they said "kinda." Interpret that how you will but in the end my new vet just copied the records I had personally. I've talked to many other dog owners at the dog parks and have ran across many who had similar bad experiences at the Bayshore Clinic, one man stating that he felt something was just off about Dr. Singh. Bad place, wish I got out of there sooner. I recommend going elsewhere, like the Small Animal Hospital I mentioned above. The Shorewood animal clinic also seems very nice and I hear good things about it. And both of these places are hardly more expensive.
I have been coming to Dr. Singh at Bayshore Vet Clinic for nearly a decade. In addition to having two cats of my own, I have a habit of rescuing every down trodden feline I come across. Not only has Dr. Singh kept my complicated kitties happy and healthy, he and his staff have accommodated me and my rescues' every need. Odd hours, (at times) lack of funds, strange situations... the staff at Bayshore is caring, compassionate, professional, accommodating, generous, trust worthy, and just generally wonderful. I am truly blessed to have found Dr. Singh and his staff; they are consistently top notch in all that they do. On the one or two occasions when the first treatment didn't completely work, they explained my options, the reasons why there may have been complications, and worked to rectify the situation as quickly as possible... even at a reduced/zero charge. Dr. Singh is not motivated by money, he has a genuine passion for keeping our furry friends has happy and healthy as can be. I am completely confident anytime I bring an animal to Bayshore Veterinary Clinic, that he/she will be given only the best of care. Thank you Bayshore!!!
