As someone else noted, they do appear to care for you animals, unless you call or have an emergency. They apparently are too regimented to actually care enough to help outside your specific appointment time. The vets seem to care for the animals during the exam and at the appointments, But don't EVER try to call to talk to a vet or get followup information. The vet will not return your call, then is off for 2 days or is at a conference. No one else can tell you anything, you just have to wait for THE vet to return your call because no one else can read a chart or tell you anything. So just WAIT for days (4 days) for the answer to your question, or -consult with another vet clinic which is what I did. Too bad they seem so uncaring if you need to call them rather than come in. Their callous treatment of previous clients is heartbreaking, wait till it happens to you

I run a rescue and this clinic has been very kind to our cats. They do NOT make you wait forever to be seen, the staff is very kind and the vets are wonderful. I think pricing is about average for the area and I've actually switched a lot of my family members and personal pets over to them. WELL WORTH YOUR TIME.

I have only had positive experiences at For Pets Sake. My dog has seen both doctors, but usually sees Dr. Schmidt. Contrary to what others have written, I never feel like they are "padding by bill"; in fact, that is something I noticed at other area vets, but specifically not at For Pets Sake. It is not the cheapest vet in the area, but I didn't choose them for the price. I never feel like I'm paying for something unnecessary. Most of the office personnel is very friendly, and they all love my dog. I feel like Dr. Schmidt is a good vet, and I trust him. He always makes an effort to understand what is wrong with my dog, and runs the necessary tests to provide actual answers. He answers my questions and explains things clearly so I can understand. It also seems they do most of their own lab work on site- whenever my dog has a test done, I get the results right away, which is very rare for a vets office; usually, you have to wait a few days for results. When my dog shows signs of illness, they always make sure to see him as soon as possible, often same-day. I think some of the negative experiences written in others' reviews were not the responsibility of this veterinary clinic. For emergency treatment, you should take your pet to the Animal ER, and not wait, when your normal vet has already told you that they won't be able to see your pet right away. If your pet is being boarded, you should be pleased when they treat your pet if he/she falls ill. Overall, I really like and trust this vet, and I would recommend them to others.

I took my ferret to this vet clinic for 3 years and found Dr. Temple wonderful to work with. She was always honest and straight forward, including when my ferret became sick. She was very supportive when his diagnosis was upsetting to me and explained all of our options in detail. Even though my ferret passed away, I now have two new baby ferrets and will take them to For Pet's Sake and Dr. Temple as well.

Dr. Schmidt is a very skilled Veterinarian. We have been going to him for 15 years and are very impressed with his knowledge and skill. He performed a delicate eye surgery on one of our dogs that would have cost three times as much at the specialist. Prices are very fair in our opinion.
