I called this clinic to see if they could perform a surgical procedure. Not only did they say they could not, but continued to tell me that I am a bad pet owner. She has no idea who I am or anything. Some of my family from Tomah used to go here and were not happy, I can see why. I called all of them. They assured me, after this they will never take a pet to this facility again. After of the phone with them I called another local facility and they could perform the surgery, no problem, I will go there. Apparently they do not really care about the health of animals, but to make sure they get their 2 cents in about something they know nothing about.

Researching some information this morning, and looking for an address for the Tomah Veterinary Clinic, of which I was patron of several years ago when I lived in the area. I had a very good relationship with them and was always pleased with the services I received. It has been a few years, so my experiences are not recent, however the posting here from Shelly Lee requires a rebuttal. Ms. Lee, if you were a quality, professional breeder, you would have already established a relationship with a veterinarian to be prepared for when you bred your (I'll assume miniature or micro) dog. AKC paperwork proves nothing. If you are not already a part of a breed club, have not had your animals genetically tested for breed-specific flaws to improve the breed, have not trained and showed your animals, you are a BACKYARD BREEDER! You deserved the lecture. The product of such operations fill the shelters and dog pounds to overfilling. Millions of unwanted dogs are euthenized every year. It is the responsibility of veterinarians to not only provide for the health of the animals in the community, but to educate the public to become part of the solution of pet overpopulation, and not to continue to proliferate it. To the general public, I would encourage you to not judge the Tomah Veterinary Clinic based on the opinion of one sour phone caller, who apparently was mortified enough at being called to task to go to the Internet and bad-mouth them. If you are looking for a vet, take your pet for a visit. Judge for yourself.
