The doctors and staff here are amazing and wonderful. Dr. Estelle is so knowledgeable and caring and the rest of the staff is always so friendly, helpful, and responsive to any questions or concerns I have about my dog. I was referred to them by a friend when I got my puppy, and I too would refer them to anyone looking for exceptional care for their pets.

I have been going to Waunakee Veterinary Clinic since the 1970's. Needless to say a lot has changed since then. I had Dr. Larson for 20 years until she retired about 4 years ago. Fortunately prior to that Dr. Wes Arnett joined the team and I had the great fortune to get to know him. Dr. Estelle has also been a wonderful addition to the team. I have trusted 6 generations of Labrador Retrievers to their care and 11 litters of puppies. I refer new owners to them too. In October of 2012 my yellow lab who was 10 years old at the time started having signs of being unbalanced when she walked. One day she had a seizure and we took her right to the clinic and they ran blood work to find her glucose levels were low. An ultra sound was ordered and they found an insulinoma on her pancreas. This most often is considered a death sentence and the outlook didn't appear to be hopeful. I received the devastating news on a Friday. What most people don't realize is Dr. Arnett doesn't go home and not think about his clients. He was so concerned about my girl and e-mailed me on a Sunday night and suggested I talk to the oncologist at Veterinary Specialty for his opinion. We got in the next day and did surgery the following day. I am happy to say she turned 12 in May 2014 and is still enjoying daily walks and good health. I am so thankful that Dr. Arnett suggested I speak with the oncologist. I would have lost her within 2 months. Dr. Wes is one of the most conscientious and caring people I have had the good fortune to know. The addition of the Laser Therapy has been wonderful too. At 12 large breed dogs can start to have stiffness in their joints. I did a series of treatments in April and give her one treatment every couple months because I choose to and feel this has made a huge difference in her walking and comfort level. Dr. Estelle suggested the laser when I had her evaluated for stiffness and I am so glad she did. The price is reasonable and well worth it. In addition to the 12 year old I have her 9 year old daughter and 2 year old granddaughter so they give wonderful care starting from puppyhood to being senior citizens. All of the staff at this clinic are kind and compassionate and I firmly believe each time I had to make the tough decision to euthanize they were deeply saddened too. I feel like they are family and will always entrust the care of my wonderful dogs to them.

I have worked with several different clinics and personally drive over an hour each way to receive the quality of care Waunakee Veterinary Clinic provides. Dr. Estelle, in particular, is extremely responsive. She takes the time when you visit to ensure all your questions are answered and is very thorough in her examination. She goes out of her way every time to ensure your experience is a positive one. You do not feel like a number or an invoice here. The entire staff really cares about you and the well being of your loved one! I only wish I could give them 10 stars!

I have used a few different veterinarian clinics over the years and this has been the best experience I have had! Professional and efficient combined with good caring people. Doctor Leslie and her team make the visits enjoyable for all (people and canine) and have the expertise to keep my dog in good health with both preventative and clinical help throughout her lifecycle. At any price I would be using WVC, but as a pleasant surprise I find their fees very competitive.

At Waunakee Veterinary Clinic their primary interest is money. They even have an online store on the website. Little experience and poor vets. There main interest is care for senior pets. In other words he runs a lot a tests that cost a lot of money while doing nothing. If you want a dead pet this is a great place to go. There are too many places in Madison that have good caring vets that you can go to. Stay as far away from this place as you can.
