I have been going to this vet for years with my two dogs. Dr. G is kind and truly cares about my girls. One of my dogs is a rottweiler (the sweetest girl in the world) and he has never once tried to muzzle her or seemed in any way afraid of her. Love love love Dr. G!!! Dr. B on the other hand is rude and demeaning and when you don't agree with his plan of care (usually surgery) he becomes more rude. Every time he has seen my rottweiler, he insists on a muzzle (which stresses her out). I had asked that he just is no longer able to treat my dogs. There was one day where dr. G had become ill and Dr. B was the only vet available. He had insisted multiple times on taking my 10 year old rottweiler to surgery to remove her lymph nodes, I had declined and asked him to aspirate the nodes for a sample rather than surgery. He was upset by this and stated he would not get a good clean sample. I told then he wasn't getting a sample at all. Finally he agreed to do the needle aspiration and actually came out to tell how sweet my dog was and that he didn't even have to muzzle her (i've been telling this for years!). And the sample was clean :) Anyway, if you take your pet here, ask for Dr. G.
My experience was AWFUL. I had doctor... oh wait, I don't know his name because he was too rude to even introduce himself, but he did have maybe a Russian accent? Anyway, did not introduce himself, barged right in the room and immediately began talking down to me. He pulled out every classic vet scare-tactic in the book! It was right off an undercover 20/20 show! He was very insensitive as to the situation my poor little pet was in, and just right away started throwing around the word emergency and death. Asking for hundreds of dollars and insist that I decide on that very second, even discouraging me making a call to my husband before spending hundreds of dollars! Then he took me over by the x-ray and actually said "Maybe you do not understand" and began speaking SLOWLY in a condescending way that he must operate. Don't talk to me like I'm stupid, don't tell me my pet is going to DIE so that you can get hundreds of dollars while telling me not to talk to my husband first -- who does that? Not only does this man clearly NOT care about pets, but he does not have any kind of manners whatsoever or respect for other people. I would NEVER pay him to do surgery on my pet, I was reluctant enough paying him for the BS where he was just rude and didn't care one bit about the well-being of my pet.
I took my Pomeranian here today and was beyond pleased. The staff are very kind, sweet, and knowledgeable. Dr Daniel Banceu was FANTASTIC. He was so caring and showed a lot of compassion towards my little guy. We were not rushed, and he explained everything to me. He was very thorough and anyone could definitely tell he really cares about the animals health and well being. I am excited to have finally found a vet clinic with people who actually care. Their prices and random AWESOME deals they run are un-beatable!! For the care and prices, you can't beat it! I will be bringing my animals here from now on- no questions asked :)
February 15, 2014 Recently, I had one male cat neutered and two female cats spayed. The care they got was greatly appreciated and the explanation of medications was very thorough. I am extremely pleased with the friendly and caring manner of the staff who willingly address any questions or concerns that I may have regarding pet care. Thank you everyone at West Allis Veterinary Clinic! Kathy Looney
I want to thank everyone at West Allis Veterinary Clinic for the amazing treatment you gave to Kit T. Kit is my little feline friend and is a very important part of my life. I was so nervous taking her in to be spayed and especially declawed. I have heard such bad stories about declawing procedures going wrong or how bad recovery can be. The staff made me feel so comfortable from the first time I called up to leaving her for the surgery. I knew she was in good hands. When I picked her up everyone knew her by name and I could tell they cared about her well being as much as I did. Kit’s recovery was amazing. She was moving around within 24 hours and it’s been just over a week now and she’s pretty much back to normal! Playful, loving and jumping around. I am so grateful that I did the laser surgery for the claws, there seemed to be virtually no pain for her. Both surgeries went perfectly! I would recommend this clinic to anyone that is looking for the best care for their furry friends. Thank you again! I will not take Kit anywhere else! ...... Nicole F. & Kit T.
