I came to Hillside as a second opinion of sorts for my lab mix, Chelsea. Although it seemed pricey, her treatment plan worked the first time which, in turn, will save money (the other unnamed practice failed to clear up her infection). The staff took all the right measures to sedate Chelsea in order for her to be treated. They treated she and I very well.

Zero stars. These people are THE worst. One, they maimed my cat's ear and claimed it wasn't their fault. Of course it wasn't, their surgeon is just poorly trained. Two, I called and asked if they could see my dog and they told me to bring my dog in and that a vet could see him, what they didn't tell me is that the vet would see him in six hours, as if I'm supposed to wait? Who schedules like that? Three, they were extremely belligerent, rude and discourteous (especially Pam, who was supposed to be in charge) when I complained about the scheduling. Do not, under any circumstances, bring your pet to this place.

Took my dog in for an appointment and they over charged me for work that I told them Not to do they did do the stuff I told them to do but also added on a bunch of extra stuff after i had told them one week before And on the day of Not to do anything extra without first notifying me. This cost me and my family extra time and money we didnt have and I am very displeased with the quality of this pet clinic what is wrong with these people!!! also when my husband checked our dog out they were very rude to him . Most clinics give pets a little care package and they did not do this for our dog. they treated us and her like they really didn't care all they cared about was the extra money they were getting!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET TO HILLSIDE THESE PEOPLE ARE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!

I went to Hillside today because of a stray that was in a fight. He has a wound on his neck and we wanted to give him a fair shot at recovering. The clinic of course presented me with the options of neutering and doing a full work up but completely understood that because of the cat not being ours and him being an outdoor cat who didn't like being inside at all, there was no pressure to do anything other then what was necessary. I did agree to the rabies vaccine to make sure that all of the animals in the neighborhood are safe, and they were extremely reasonable with me the whole time. The cat was not stressed out by the care he received, in fact when he let him back out in his territory he rubbed up against my legs like he always does.

what a difference in experiences from the same place. I can say nothing but good things for this clinic especially about Dr. Roberts. We have two German Shepherds. One has a skin disorder that causes her to scratch and bite constantly. She is a dog that requires a strong hand, and you cannot show any hesitation when handling her. Dr. Roberts, knew how to handle her with authority, and a coolness not shown by other vets we've taken her to in the past. He diagnosed her and put her on a low does steroid and explained how to best use the drug to keep her from gaining water weight. We recently had to put our eldest shepherd down, and his compassion during out moment of grief will always be remembered and appreciated.
