I honestly love Cross Lanes Veterinary Hospital. I've got two of my five cats (I know, I know) in their system and plan to take the other three soon. They aren't very expensive, as when I took my male cat to get fixed it was half the price of other vets near here that had awful, awful reviews. They also have such a nice staff who seems really interested in helping the animals. That being said, I just wish they accepted the pet assure that I have, but I don't really fault them for that. If you're looking for a safe, reasonably priced, nice vet this is it.
The staff is wonderful. Everyone is loves animals and are so knowledgeable and friendly. I brought in a puppy so sick I didn't think she would make it. Didn't have alot of cash and didn't know what to do. They treated her and she got much better in a matter of days. LOVE this vet.
Thank you, James, for your kind words. We strive to make every visit the very best possible by providing outstanding patient care and superior customer service to our veterinary family. I appreciate your taking the time to share your feedback. -Jennifer Taylor, Hospital Manager
My pets had always received good care at CLVH and I trusted the staff completely. The morning my kitten, BB, was to be neutered, I discovered that he had somehow gotten into his cat food and eaten some of it. His appointment was scheduled for 8:30 AM, so I called to reschedule because I was told he was not to eat or drink after midnight the day before his appointment. They told us to come in anyway. When I got to the office, I told THREE staff members, including the veterinarian who was to perform the surgery, that BB had eaten around 8:00 AM. They told me they would wait several hours and perform his surgery later that afternoon, because the animals are not "tubed" during surgery. By 10:00 AM, my veterinarian called to tell me that BB had had his surgery and was near death. She wanted me to know that if he made it, he would probably be blind as well as phyiscally unbalanced. I told her I loved BB blind or not and pleaded with her to try to save him. A couple of hours later, after bravely fighting for his life, it was obvious that he was not going to make it. Together, the veterinarian, my husband and I made a very difficult decision. We were devastated as we watched BB take his last breaths. I know our veterinarian tried hard to save his life. I believe she is a caring person. However, a mistake was made and BBs surgery was performed hours ahead of schedule. Our veterinarian claimed his death was an anomaly, although another of our precious pets died during surgery in the same facility only a year before. She also stated that the fact that they had performed surgery a mere hour or so after BB had eaten (after assuring me they would wait several hours) had nothing to do with his death. I checked with a veterinarian at a large, well-respected zoo who told me there is no way a cause of death could be ruled out without an autopsy. In short, I trusted this staff with my pets life. The veterinarian and techs told me they would wait to perform the surgery. They didnt. My cat died and my veterinarian would not even consider the fact that they had performed surgery shortly after he ate as a possible cause. Maybe they were afraid of a lawsuit. Well, there is no lawsuit... only a broken heart. We can no longer trust CLVH with our remaining pets lives. We are presently searching for a capable, honest veterinarian.
