I took my family's new puppy there one evening. I was in tears she was obviously in pain from what, we did not know, she was yelping and gasping for air. the doctor on duty was quick to rush her into one of the rooms and put her on oxygen after some time there they tried a few different things to figure out what was wrong with her. Then they wanted to send xrays out to get another opionion on some things because the dog was so small and he could not find anything wrong with her. They finally got on the subject of payment which I had honestly not thought of because I was so upset about the pain the puppy was in and it was as if the room came to an utter halt. To make a long story short they sent me home crying with my 1.30 lb puppy, her still gasping for air and crying as well. There was nothing else they would do for her because I could give them the entire payment right then and there. I said what am I suppose to do for her just let her die and the Doctor said "sometimes life isnt fair." On a good note he did tell me that if within a few hours she was still in pain he'd put her to sleep for free! Hooray, thank you so much because that's what I was concerned about. I left not really knowing what to do, so I figured I'd take the best care of her as I could I drove right to the store for gatorade, a can of baby formula and some puppy food and i nursed this puppy for a week. Mind you I have 2 children a 10 year old and a 2 year old so I just cared for the pup as if she were a child, making sure she drank plenty of fluids and got some food in her and here it is a month later and sugar, thats her name, is more alive than ever as a matter a fact she is the wildest out of my pack. 2 adults, 2 children a bird and 3 dogs! Sincerly it was the single worst vet experience I have ever had in my life and in my years my family has had plenty of animals pass of old age and other reasons! Oh and by the way I received a bill in the amount of $342.00 today and if it's not paid they will send it to collections. It will get paid in time, but maybe I should bill them for my time that I was sitting there.
I took my cat there one night because she was having a very hard time breathing. The staff got me in right away. They took x-rays and the doctor on duty was very nice and explained my cat's condition thoroughly. They even called me a few days later to see how my cat was doing. The prices are higher than your normal vet, but you have to expect that at an emergency pet hospital. I would take my pet there again if needed.
Very friendly, caring staff, experienced vet, high tech facility. Helpful, kind staff ~true animal lovers!~ and not too expensive for the work done, considering the hour!!
